The comparisons we make to other people in our day to day lives do far more damage than we are consciously aware of. Positioning others on a pedestal prevents us from continuing our walk down the road to recovery.
Comparisons in which we are the loser can darken our perceptions and cut us off from the beauty in a days moments. The consequences of which can be grave. Within any moment we might find an opportunity we have waited for, sometimes that opportunity is a chance to live a particular dream. We must not miss these chances. These opportunities.
Everyone of us is different, and as such is the case there are no truly accurate comparisons between people. It is freeing to view life with the idea that we are each uniquely our own.
There is no need to compete with others to be noticed. Each of us is guaranteed our own personal recognition, for what we contribute can only be offered by us alone.
Envy on the other hand eats away at our daily interactions. It posseses and consumes our thought processes, caging and denying us the freedom to achieve what can be our own.
